Verified Reviewer1-Star Review: Extremely Disappointing Experience with BookMyShow
I had a terrible experience with BookMyShow recently. I booked tickets for an 18+ movie (Dhurandhar) at PVR Cinemas, and at no point during the booking process did I see any clear or visible pop-up warning that minors are not allowed.
Because of this, PVR denied entry to me and my son at the auditorium. It was embarrassing, disappointing for my child, and completely avoidable if BookMyShow had displayed proper age-restriction information clearly.
To make things worse, BookMyShows customer support was unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they simply claimed that a pop-up was shown something I definitely did not see and then refused to provide a refund.
Their live chat support was equally frustrating; I waited for almost an hour, and no agent ever connected.
A platform this widely used should prioritize clear communication, transparency, and responsible customer support. Unfortunately, BookMyShow failed on all fronts in this experience.
I hope they improve their booking interface and customer service, but based on this incident, Im extremely disappointed and will think twice before using BookMyShow again.

The service chat bot is dead, plus no customer care call goes through for a pissed customer to be more pissed.

My money is not refunded
We booked Tera Ishq movie on Dec 4 in T Nagar AGS. We got a call from the theatre telling us the show was cancelled due to fewer people.
They said the Book My Show team would refund the money, but my amount still didn't get refunded.
Please look into the issue and refund it as soon as possible.

Resolved: Incorrect booking my end but customer service is terrible
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Refunded the amount excluding service charge. Unlikely to get a refund for live events so care while booking.
Have a school alumni event which is private and seats pre allocated to different batches . I booked 2 seats in wrong batch and unable to cancel which means someone else pre allocated those seats cant use them.
Tried messaging called bms got standard response cant cancel live show . Tried explaining that another person loses out due to my error and I have already booked new correct tickets but they refuse to even attempt help

Hi, I cancelled a ticket and rebooked another one using BMC Cash by adding 88. The transaction failed, but the amount was deducted from my account.
What should I do? Will I get a full refund?

Ticket canceled. Your customer care is not responsive. Mostly Telugu states in business.

I have booked the ticket for 'The Godfather (1972)' at INOX Megaplex: Phoenix Mall of the Millennia with booking ID: TVAMD5B. Due to some reason, I tried cancelling it before 9:35 PM, but there was an issue at BookMyShow's end and couldn't cancel the ticket, and now the cancellation window has been closed.
